You didnt copy over the maps folder then.

Hey this might be a stupid question but will this work with the l4d2 demo i still need to save money for the full version

No the L4D2 Demo does not support custom maps.

Didnt happen to me or a ton of people who have done this. Your stats just got messed up from something else.

Its been happening to a ton of people and it started before L4D was put into L4D2.

Yes, the pak_dir will be included. You just have to backup your files.

Anyways another major update is coming, might have an installer to make this easier.

Ahhh an installer would be perfect! But alot of those bugs in that list above almost make some parts unplayable it seems

A fix was found for most of these bugs I just havent updated the tutorial, waiting on Technopath and his batch files.

Do you have to have the preordered version to get the baseball bat in these maps?

Yes you have to have the DLC for L4D2 from preordering if you want the bat to spawn.

Made a batch script which uses the symlink feature of Vista and 7 so you don't have to have duplicate copies of the VPK files (once in Left 4 Dead 1 and once in Left 4 Dead 2).

Just extract zip in left 4 dead 2\left4dead2 folder and run.

just wanna let you guys know if you didnt know already thaat the stats wiping was an issue that valve had and has recently been fixed. if you need proof i can post an email response i got from valve when i filed a support ticket.

ok so i followed the steps EXACTLY ...now my game continually crashes.... and it even crashes on regular l4d2 campaigns

Yea better uninstall and reinstall then...it looks long and complicated as is atm. I'll wait till there's an easier method...and the bugs have been mostly ironed out. A bit off topic...but could original left 4 dead sound mods be used for this game?
